Two great fighters I always enjoyed watching. True professionals. It shoulda been them that got the honor of being in that fight.

Personally, I think they should bring back 15 Round fights for World Championships. But, that's just me, I guess. The number has more magic attached to it; and more drama has occurred in the old "championship rounds":

      Louis vs Conn I
Ali vs Frazier I & III
      Lamotta vs Dauntille
      Pryor vs Arguello I
      Weaver vs Tate
      Holmes vs Norton
      Paez vs Grove

I mean, the list goes on and on. Can you imagine if Leonard-Hagler had been a 15 round bout, or any of the Barrera-Morales clashes? How 'bout Holyfield-Bowe I & II?

With 15 as the max for World Championship bouts, it adds more drama to what should be a "special" event. Not to mention the odd number of rounds decreases the chance for a draw.

      Oh well.

I like that idea. For years, the UFC put title fights at 5 rounds, instead of the standard 3 for undercard fights and now put all main events at 5 rounds. I'd be all for an increase in rounds for title fights, especially to decide lineal/Ring champions.

Definitely. A 15 rounder really decides the issue. I don't want to even think about how many 12 rounders were won by coasting...
