There you have 10 welterweights who were CLEARLY better than DLH. And I could easily have added more. Whining about being robbed against Trinidad (he wasn't) and Mosley being juiced (no proof) doesn't help your case.
Basilio isn't clearly a greater welterweight.

His best wins are DeMarco, Graham and Saxton. I would replace him with Mickey Walker big time.

Walker was one of many good choices. I just stopped when I reached the first 10 I can think of. I'm not changing my mind about Basilio though.

Out of curiosity which Walker wins at Welterweight, either individually or in total would better Basilio's record?

I'd like to note that to fight Gavilan at Welterweight to a close fight in a 15 round world title fight should not be readily dismissed.

Were not doing close fights though.

Britton is certainly better than anything Basilio has and then after he even came back down to beat 7 shades out of Shade.

          Walker is a beast

What's the word I'm looking for? Oh yeah, it's no. A resounding no.

I disagree. Close fights against against great fighters have to be considered, to dismiss them is ridiculous, especially when they are so close that different judges could easily have scored them the other way.

You mean a 37 year old version of Britton? I'm not dismissing that win, which is of course impressive and significant but you surely would need to qualify that by acknowledging his advanced age and that it was Britton's last world title fight.

I don't, Basilio lost. I can't give Delahoya credit for Trinidad because he lost against a great welterweight if we're not playing what if games.

Britton beat Walker less than a year previously if I recall, and I hold rematch wins over fellow ATGs in high regard.

                  Basilio had no such privilege.

ROFL. The only prime welters destroying a prime Delahoya would be Hearns and Leonard
