as far as the second fight, you can come up with all the excuses you want. But Duran had no one to blame but himself. As far as the fight went, it was still closely contested but this time Ray was fighting his fight and made Duran quit. Even Durans manager said Duran quit because he was embarrassed.

Ray widened the gap even more in the third fight. When both fought their own fight, Ray proved to have Durans number.

So all your conjecture, it's for nothing. Doesn't matter. Has no relevance. That is a fact my friend.
    - - He was embarrassed because chasing Ray exacerbated the huge load of two steak dinners with a couple of whole g****fruit into his bowels.

He didn't quit, he dismissed Ray telling the ref in front of Ray he wasn't going to fight a clown, left the ring to his dressing room where the unholy load was expulsed in the bathroom with heave and cry that ricocheted off the heavens above that would've done Thor proud.

    It's OK U like U sugar.

    • - - Getting back to OP, Pryor only had one fight in Spring of 1982 against a journeyman. However, he fought the1st Arguello fight in October 1982. Had Ray made himself available after that fight, then guaranteed Pryor whoops him worse than Duran did.

          - - Just da fact, ma'am. Yepsir, Ray admits that was his strategy after announcing his retirement. His mgr came to him with pics of Duran showing him partying hardy near 200 lb, so they concocted giving him big money for the Quick rematch.

Worked like a charm, but then Ray refused the immediate trilogy to delay several years until Duran was gray. Ray looked like the chicken Stallone was chasing in one of his Rocky movies.

Look, not my fault U know nothing, the why I recommended U have U minder ghost post for U to save U unnecessary humiliation.

Your hatred of Ray is utterly ludicrous - the first fight was incredibly close and Ray embarassed your hero into quitting in the second.

The list of excuses for Duran's loss to Leonard just never ends.

Oh and as for being a chicken, in two years he fought Benitez, Duran twice, Kalule and the monstrous punching, freakish Hearns.

Leonard had eye surgery that took 6 months to recover starting may of 1982. So there was no way he could be back according to your timeline. Plus he had retired and stayed retired for two years. Pryor should have taken the largest purse of his career when he had the opportunity.

Leonard is one of the greatest p4p fighters ever. I have him about 17th if I recall correctly. The guy may have been pretty, but he was a beast in the ring.

You ever cease to amaze me... Your actually defending Duran? You are right about a bowel problem, but it has to do with the hole you expunge these opinions from, not Duran.

Extra extra read all about it, Ray leonard goes to the Cordon Blue cooking school to learn how to tantalize his opponent with an excellent version of Steak au pove. Duran takes the bai... eats the steak!
