Hagler vs RJJ

Id say haglers the underdog in this fight but can anyone give a good case for haggler to win this?

This threads been done to death, but here goes. Rds 1-6, RJJ sweeps with speed, ackward angles, and skill. In the 7th, Hagler starts to land more frequently and wins the rnd. In the 8th, Hagler really takes over, and puts Roy down with seconds to go. In the 9th, Hagler comes out on fire landing lead right hooks, hurts Roy badly and put him away. Hagler KO 9.

Roy makes him look slow and cruises to a wide UD. An older, coming up in weight, SRL made Hagler look bad and Roy is as fast if not faster with power. Bad match up for Hagler.

That was a past prime Hagler. No way in hell Roys chin lasts 12 with Hagler

I agree with the previous poster.

Hagler could take anything that Roy had to dish out due to his all time great chin. But I don't see Roy being able to withstand Hagler for all 12 rounds.

It depends on whether or not Hagler is quick enough to get to that chin, though.

a prime hagler would back up jones with the jab, especially a double jab much like griffith did in his first fight with roy,,,,
Roy had problems with fundamentally sound fighters behind the jab, hence why only hopkins is the only guy like that on his resume, and you dont have any nunn, mcclelan, or liles on it,,,

Hagler would eventually trap him and beat him down,,, Roy was sweet but he could be trouble by very good boxers with solid chins like hagler,

Here is Hagler vs Scypion. If you watch the fight you will notice that Hagler squares up often, and is not fleet footed. I do not see how somebody like Hagler is going to give RJJ trouble. Seems like a bad style match up.
