Who has beaten the most champions?

It's a very solid list of fighters, but DLH has the advantage of being in the paper title era, it shouldn't count because if we go back to say the 40's/50's, all the top contenders then would be paper title holders today, guys like SRR would have beaten way more than 19 guys good enough to hold a paper title throughout his career.

This is kinda slanted towards modern fighters,,,
ortiz, berto, maidana, ghost really comparable to the likes of say true champs like zarate, gomez etc,,,,
just too many paper champs and most win some vacant title or interm belt and then get promoted to full champ when there is a super champ...
So i think this stat or accomplishment is kinda meaningless

Gonna be difficult to go past Ali beating Patterson, Liston, Frazier, Foreman and Norton.Originally posted by Anthony342What about lineal or Ring or undisputed champions, who has beaten the most of those?
They were all the man at heavyweight at one point in their careers.

I always thought it would be Mayweather.
Now if we're only counting universal champions, this would be a lot different.

You left out Leon Spinks. He was lineal/Ring heavyweight champion too. Ali beat him in their rematch to win that belt back.Originally posted by Capaedia View PostGonna be difficult to go past Ali beating Patterson, Liston, Frazier, Foreman and Norton.

You could also count Archie Moore as a Light heavyweight champ.Originally posted by Anthony342 View PostYou left out Leon Spinks. He was lineal/Ring heavyweight champion too. Ali beat him in their rematch to win that belt back.
Joe Louis would also be close to Ali, with Baer, Braddock, Carnera, Conn, Schmeling, and Walcott. Though he would be one off.Last edited by GeneralZod; 08-06-2013, 12:52 PM.

Greb and Langford both fought and beat a ridiculous number of Hall of Famers. In Langford's case, many of them were never world champions, although Langford beat several Colored World Champions.Originally posted by New England View Posti have not hashed this out, but he did fight in the unified era, and with the original weight classes, making a champion more rare. i'm pretty sure he's fought the most hall of famers, though.
