Actually wasn't Norton WBC champ? He wasn't lineal, was he? That's still 5, including Moore, for Ali. Marciano had Walcott, Louis, and Moore. What about Robinson?

That is true. Norton was the WBC champion during the Ali/Spinks period. When Holmes beat Norton and then Ali retired, most regarded that title as legit since Holmes was the only one defending a heavyweight title. Of course when Holmes beat Ali it became lineal (for awhile).

Robinson beat 13 undisputed/lineal world champions - the same as Jimmy McLarnin.

If by Hall of Famers we mean members of the IBHOF only, it's a tie between Greb and McLarnin. The top 8 looks like this:

          Greb 15
          McLarnin 15
          Moore 14
          Langford 13
          Gunboat Smith 12
          Johnny Risko 12
          Armstrong 12
          Robinson 12

Edit: Just to clarify, the above list is for HOFers fought - not defeated!

If we're talking about who beat the most HOFers... then we have Greb and McLarnin ahead of everybody else with 14 and 13, respectively.

            Thanks, man.

I'm surprised Ezzard Charles isn't on that list.

Top of my head Charles beat 8 or 9.

              He just beat a lot of them on multiple occasions;

              Moore x3
              Burley x2
Bivins, Maxim, Marshall multiple times each

And also beat boarderline HOF'ers who IMO should be in the HOF like Overlin and Basora
