................heres a few from the different era's. props to F.Paterson and D. Jones, Evander had speed early on!
"older" Joe Walcott was said to be quick also! I could name a few more but no one would recognize the names! Ali in his youth was easily the fastest heavy of all time! Ray

Top 10!
I did some research, added my own personal experience of fights seen during my time & in video, & lots of research, reading up on old articles for experts & other boxing info, so here is my top 10, in no particular order, but I go with Ali #1
1. Ali
2. Tyson
3. Louis
4. J. Johnson
5. J. Corbett
6. Patterson
7. Frazier
8. Holmes
9. Charles
10. Dempsey
& there are several others that are very close & could crack the top 10, but we won't ever know for sure, so if you do your research on it, anyone could come up with a decent top 10, guys left out but just quite didnt make it.
11. Sanders
12. Tunney
13. Schmeling
14. J.J> Walcott
15. L. Lewis
16. Greg Page
17. Larry Donald
18. Holyfield
19. Hide
20. Wills
Again, the farther down the list you go, the more guys that pile up at the bottom & anyone could find another guy to fit in somewhere, that were so close, you could'nt pick between them.

According to Ali, Patterson and Foley were the fastest he fought, and actually rated their speed as equal to his own.
Glad Dokes has been mentioned.. Thought he had it all, until the drugs got hold of him.
