Quick question, who in your opinion is the better fighter Roy or Floyd?
The late great GJC saw Ezzard Charles live in attendance. A shot Ezzard Charles, but still

I've seen Mayweather live in attendance twice, the Mosley fight and the Guererro fight.

Never had the chance to see Roy sadly.

In consideration to who's better, tough ask.

Both are two of the most jaw dropping and skilled, talented, and incredible fighter's I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. The only people who I'd say I've seen in my life who are as jaw droppingly talented and amazing as those two would be Pernell Whitaker and Muhammad Ali.

I would probably lean on Roy, in his prime, he was just untouchable, a different level talent. As is Floyd, but, Roy did it against prime ATG's.

His performance against James Toney is and will always be one of the most amazing things I will have ever witnessed in my life.

Live would have to be Rigondeaux or Andre Ward for me.

Well said. I think both are greatly skilled as well. I seem to remember a story at the time Roy Jones was dominating the light heavyweight division that some fans and even writers were wondering if Jones was really taking on all the best competition at the time. Some believed then that maybe he wasn't but looking back now, it seems that he took on just about everyone there was to face in his weight class and was just that much better, which was a question also posed at the time. I believe it was someone on HBO saying that maybe that belief has more to do with the fact that Jones just makes it look easy or wins by such a wide margin. So I take it then he did take on just about everyone at light heavy and beat them in his prime (except maybe for Darius)?

jones virtually cleaned out the 175 div. imo some of the criticism was just it was with Floyd with roy being so much better than the top contenders n getting ppv fights that were anything but competitive

              Hard to say. Both ATG.

Roy might be the greatest physical talent, and Floyd might be the smartest fighter. I mean *ever*.

And even if I could make up my mind, then I would still have to compare with SRL and Pea. headache lol.

EDIT: just to clarify. These 4 I believe are the greatest fighters after Duran, and I can't quite rank them.

I believe Ray Corso saw Sullivan-Corbett in person.

As a matter of fact, I think he worked Corbett's corner.

Live at the event: Mitch Green!

But first off, I don't go to many live matches, and second, he wasn't exactly fighting Tyson at the time.

Still, almost everyone thought he was going to be a superstar. Tall, powerful puncher, and long arms. He knocked guys out with uppercuts from long range!

He did go 10 with Mike (but not out in the street).

I envy the guys here who saw Ali, Jones, and other true greats live at ringside.
