I never saw Sugarman live but I did see & feel the excitment as Ali walked into the arena and walked to the ring the place went "crazy"! No fighter not Leonard or Tyson or Duran could generate that feeling!!! Ali Ali Ali Ali was something very special if you weren't there you don't know! The Greatest for many reasons! Ray.
    1. Baby Joe Mesi in Buffalo... the first to use Thunderstruck.

    2. Vlad has the best on-going ring entrance with all the pyrotechnics and Chili Peppers blaring.

3 Sugar Shane having LL Cool J sing Mama Said Knock You Out for Pacman fight was cool as hell too.

Yeah, I remember that. Cooney came out to the "Rocky" theme. I knew he was doomed after that.

I could easily be mistaken, but I don't remember entrance musicx before that, at least in America. Does anyone else know or can you find an earlier example?

I guess this doesn't count but for the Johnson-Jeffries fight as Johnson came in a band played All ***** Look Alike to Me (I blanked out the word as I really would prefer not to use it, a quick google search will bring it up).

Different situation I guess as it was used to wind up Johnson.

                      See Holmes-Cooney was mentioned....

I loved the way Larry and his team jogged to the ring for that one. Beautiful.
