To be fair i saw Muhammad Ali say the same about Tyson and himself. You can't put too much stock into it, fighters usually humble in retirement and later years. And on the occasion Mike said it he was being a gracious winner and giving his former great rival his respects. Team Tyson had always fancied the Holmes fight stylistically, even when Mike was mid teens they thought one day he'd be Holmes' superior

a good way of showing holmes difference in age is to pull up 2 youtubes and watch holmes vs shavers 1 and holmes vs Tyson and play them at the same time. He still circled well at his age but threw a lot less punches, cant decide if this is because of his age or tysons headmovement is preventing him to get a clear shot. From being sad and doing that, I find that it would of been an epic fight between the two young guys but I think larry dint have the right kind of jab to keep Tyson away and it would still have the same outcome, when Tyson gets holmes down, hes the guy to finish him

its really weird watchin the 2 side by side coz when you play it round by round at the exact same time shavers n Tyson seem to catch up to holmes at the same time and holmes ability to escape is not all that different to when he was younger. In fact when you look at round 4 of the Tyson fight when holmes starts jabbing at his younger pace, he doesn't land **** and Tyson slowly starts to see opportunity's, so theres a chance this fantasy match up could end sooner

In this type of matchup put your money on the bigger guy with the superior boxing skills, smarts, recuperative powers, and heart.

I think Holmes would get the decision.

I'm a lot more comfortable putting my money on the guy who knocked out the other one.

So you'd bet on Danny Williams to beat a prime Mike Tyson?

                      Holmes by decision or TKO!

If Buster Douglas could beat Tyson, then so could any of the Greats that had a similar style to Douglas, & that's Ali, Holmes & L. Lewis, all were 10x better than Douglas & would beat Tyson the same way Buster did, & probably J. Louis & I would say Foreman bombs him out & Liston beats him also.
