Its a question of evaluating talent and who has the experience to know talent when they see it!! Lots of "youngsters" today are well read at comparing records and they think the only thing relevant in life appears in their life time> If you know how to teach boxing and you've has success doing it then you can tell which fighter has the most skills and talent. Then its a question of those talents being applied!
Some "young punks" need to take off their "rose glasses" and try to learn how a fighter is trying to get things done and IF he has the tools. ALL the tools not just height and reach!! Height and reach become a negative as you "slip inside" and then theres something called "In Fighting" that No One in Color knows how to do! Listen to what I'm saying, its true! Ray

Both Lewis and Tyson knew how to infight imo. They would knock Ali out. Being nostalgic doesn't mean you're right.

No they didn't! The fact that you think they did ends this for me. I'm not nostalgic, I'm knowledgeable about boxing! Tyson stayed on his opponents on the ropes but never fought inside anywhere else. The facts are he initiated tie ups once anyone got close to him. Lewis took 5 years to learn how to tie anyone up!! Sorry son but you don't know those two fighters very well and I doubt you know anything about the ATG's! Ray

            Several Considerations

Would these guys fight each other prime for prime, 1 month or 2 after the other, if so, they would not be the same prime for prime guys as in each 1st fight, they would take a piece of each other with them as any ATG against another ATG does, like Ali-Frazier, & many others, so would it be absolute Prime 1st time against Prime in each fight, or have them fight each other in the same year if they could,Ali probably wins either way as he could take the most and come back, but the others may take so much out of each other, they soften each up for the next fight at hand.

That's why any Champ has so many chumps or questionable bouts on their resumes, the mind & body can only handle a certain number of great bouts, they lose something in each one, & they lose much less against lesser fighters, Tunney could have fought Schmeling before retiring, that would have answered a few questions on both, Dempsey would have been maybe 35 or so, so if Schmeling beat him, they would cry Dempsey too old, but Dempsey had fought a lot of Wars, so even if he had not been too old at 35, the great fights, he already had, may have taken too much from him to win, Tunney, could have had a better chance, because his style allowed less punishment to be taken & he was more prime when Schmeling was german HW champ than dempsey would have been, so whenever I consider ATG's fighting, I see it taking each out of his best Prime time against the other, never to say I wish 5 or more of them had been around the same time, by the last fight for each other in same time period, who knows how much each would have lost, so you would not have 100% Prime for Prime, that's why you don't get all the fights you should have that could have been, & also that's why ATG's against each other are not always the best fights,Tyson's heart may come into question against any ATG if he were to get behind & not able to KO them early, a lot of factors to consider when you get such fights.

Arguello-Pryor for instance, by the 2nd fight, Arguello's heart was gone.
Frazier & Ali left a ton of each other in the ring each time they fought,
Taylor lost himself against Chavez, Physically & mentally,

Even if L. Holmes for example actually was better than say 10 other ATG's you may rank under him, if he had to fight all 10 in his Prime to replace 10 other bouts he had, he most likely does not win all 10, they would each take a piece of him, so by the the last fights, he most likely loses some, but 100% holmes against each one taken out in 1 fight in history, he wins them all most likely.

I believe Arguello's heart was gone when he was knocked down against Pryor in the second fight, which is why he took the 10 count and didn't get up. If his heart was gone, I doubt he would've even taken a rematch with Pryor.
