You need a new schtick mate. One simple fact: If what you say is true, Douglas could not have beaten him. Simple. He was in his prime, and if he was the single greatest combination of power, speed, durability and skills ever seen in the ring, he would have annihilated Douglas.

.....and he certainly should have been able to destroy a way past his best cruiserweight on steroids.

Louis had blazing hand speed and quick footwork.

As for his durability, he was knocked out twice in his career, once by one of the hardest punchers of all time. Compare this to Tyson, who was knocked out by very average punchers throughout his career.

You really know nothing about boxing... but then again, I already knew that.

        LOL Louis had quick feet???

Louis was a stonefoot stalker ... he was hardly mobile at all and tasted the canvas from far inferior fighters. His hand speed was AVERAGE too, at best. There was nothing fast about the hardly mobile Joe Louis ... even the bums he would fight for his title defenses had more speed.

GTFO with that nonsense. Even his best attribute of combination punching was far behind the combos Tyson would unleash.

Joe Louis kissed the canvas more than Wlad and had a WEAK chin. A complete obese BUM Tony Galento put Joe Louis down. Not even the most rabid Louis fans would claim that he had an iron chin like Tyson who only went down from stamina problems and not because his chin couldn't last. Walcott knocked this dude around like it was nothing and every puncher that had reasonable power dropped him. Schmeling, who no special power or anything put him down. Buddy Baer, Braddock and other put him down. He was down 10 times in his career.

YDSAB so try not to post stupidity that isn't worth responding to.

anytime any1 mentions anything gd bout tyson, the hardcore boxing fans assume they no **** about boxing. Tysons an ATG end of, boxing is an entertainment sport, which puts him in the top 15

You have the right to think Tyson was the greatest ever. I don't, but I'll admit he was a force during his peak. But when someone comes up with crap like Joe Louis having slow hands and Tony Tucker being a monster puncher, they lose any credibility and should expect to be challenged on it.

Why are Tyson fans so insecure anyway?

                    The really funny thing is

If Wladimir had fought Tyson in 2000 instead of Chris Byrd.. Wlad might have gotten laid out.

Tyson was gone by 2000, but for the first 3 rounds he was still very dangerous.

Keep in mind this was PRIOR to Wladimir's weak chin being FULLY verified.

People at the time SUSPECTED Wlad had a shaky chin due to Purrity, but didn't know for sure.

I don't see an all out agressive 2000 Version of Wlad beating 2000 Tyson.

A 2000 version of Wlad would have slugged it out with Tyson and fought his fight.

I really wanted this to happen. because Lewis could fight Tyson right after and get more credit.

Both wins will look better with time and it would have done wonders for debate.

'Oh Mike was shot? No he wasn't... he beat Wlad'

^ 2000 Tyson before the fought Nielson was still in shape. He looked decent in his England tour and would've KOed Wlad within 2 rounds.

But back to the subject ...

Joe Louis was knocked down 10 times in his career and he's got a great chin??

He was never considered fast ... on his feet or with his hands and suddenly he is?? Stalking Joe Louis looked like he fought in slow motion. I don't see any special speed from him

                      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DteKctJFIVE

                      Schemling had faster hands.

Great champion and better career than Mike Tyson but he was never considered durable or fast.
