I thought Hagler edged it but it was close.

Very surprised 100% of people so far in this thread scored it for Leonard.

I had it 115-113 for Hagler. Leonard performed very well, but I think Marvin controlled more of the fight and landed the better punches. In my eyes Leonard got a gift because important people wanted him to win. I don't think he did. It should also be noted that I watched it without listening to the commentary.

I probably give the fight to Hagler, if I remember it correctly Ray ran way to much and I don't give rounds to runners!! Moving to score and step in is one thing but wasting seconds and minutes is not boxing. Its not ring generalship its wasting time because you fear engagement!
Either way I'm glad Marvin got out when he did, as for Leonard he just couldn't let it go and then robbed poor Hearns in their oldies match up. Tommy kicked his butt!! Ray.
This is spot on. This man knows his boxing. i can't understand why he is in the Red. Green K him he deserves it.

Hagler won it in my opinion, a rematch was in order, unfortunately ray thought otherwise.

Leonard had shrewdly made every arrangement possible for him to win

Ring size, gloves, number of rounds, catchweight and more.

He also tried to manipulate Hagler into fighting away from his traditional style. Thats why Marvin lost those beginning rounds.

Leonard strategized to the fullest and beat Hagler from even before the fight started.

And of course he waited for Marvin to wear down and decline ... Leonard was an astute, cunning guy ...

                it wasn't a catchweight fight.

Plus, Hagler was perfectly fine giving in to the ring size, gloves and rounds, as long as he got paid more. That's all hagler cared about as he thought it was going to be an easy fight.

Leonard was just the smarter fighter.

                  Hagler.........

I don't even know, I scored it for Hagler 6-5-1 the first time and I've refused to score it again in case I get a different result.

                    Leonard outsmarted him, no question

Leonard dictated everything and Hagler agreed because he wanted that fight so bad.

Hagler got played by the sly Leonard

I want to say Hagler won in the worst way. But being honest, Leonard won. Damn that was painful!
