Conversely, "no mas" was the penalty that kept Duran out of the top three. Merely losing the fight had no effect on his ranking, it 's the way he chose to lose it that did.
I don't and I don't think anyone else ranks Duran any lower because he quit. I treat as a TKO loss, how it happened means nothing.

I think he`s about 5th on my list p4p, number 1 at LW though.

        I think Duran's LW resume/accomplishments are over-rated.

        Yes I said it.

RJJ & Monzon don`t make my top 10, Duran was greater than those guys, I have him above SRL & JCC too but they make my top 10 at least.

I agree, to a certain degree.

I'm not missing any point, if Duran didn't quit and went on too win the fight and have another win against Leonard he still does not move upto 3, him quitting doesn't effect his resume that much given what he achieved.

Fair enough. So we have a difference of opinion, what else is new?

Is there anything in Duran's resume/accomplishments that isn't overrated (as far as you're concerned)?

And yes, you excersized your 1st. ammendment rights.

There's at least one thing to which we can agree: We disagree!

I meant in general at LW he just gets ranked too high, not that he was completely over-rated as a fighter, otherwise I wouldn't have him at #9 or whatever.

His resume is clearly not as good as Benny Leonard's or Carlos Ortiz', in my opinion.
