Another huge upset from recent times was Sonny boy Jaro derailing Pongsaklek Wonjongkam.

Probably up there with the biggest.

Agree with Douglas knocking out the baddest man on the planet.

Douglas KO Tyson. Tyson was looked upon as invincible at the time. Douglas was a 40+ to 1 underdog going into the fight. It widely regarded as one of the biggest upsets in sports history.

for men of his stature wonjonkam was really getting quite old at that stage.

still, sonny boy jaro was certainly not supposed to win that one.

I'd say Buster Douglas was a far higher-rated contender than Jaro. Unfortunately, few people follow the flyweights.

Douglas-Tyson is the biggest upset from the world's view.

From my own view the result that shocked me more than any other is easily....

              Lloyd Honeghan over Donald Curry

That was a stunner. Curry was very high on most P4P lists at the time. He was never quite the same after this loss either.

To this day, there are people who don't believe Sonny actually got hit in the rematch and that he took a dive. These people probably believe the earth is flat, but I digress...

The mere fact that someone wins a first fight, does not automatically make him favored to win the rematch. I don't think Spinks was favored to beat Ali or Douglas to beat Tyson in their respective rematches.

Of course, I could be wrong...
Well I've heard even writers say they thought Liston took a dive, like Jerry Izenberg of the Star Ledger. He did have mob ties, so it's not completely outside the realm of possibility.

Cool thanks. And wasn't the first Louis-Schmeling fight considered the biggest upset at that time?

And what about Braddock over Baer, where does that rank?

Baer was a 15-1 favorite over Braddock. Until Douglas-Tyson it was considered the biggest upset in a heavyweight title fight.
