Is Lewis a greater lb4lb fighter than Holyfield? Better heavyweight, yes....but I do not believe he's the better fighter.

Holyfield is a natural cruiser who went 24 rounds with the natural behemoth in Lewis. I guarantee you take Evander's ability and strength and put it in a body closer to the size of Lewis'- Lewis would get his ass beaten.

True. I loved Fenech but he was an excellent Champion Boxer whereas Whitaker is in that special stratosphere.

And that is in no way meant to put down Jeff who (as I have bored you with before) once phoned me & left insulting messages on my voicemail. Whitaker never did that!.

But just looking at the fighters from that Olympics is mind boggling. So many who went on to World Class (or close to it).

I'll go with Holyfield, he was undisputed and lineal heavyweight champion, with Whitaker right up there too, being undisputed and Ring lightweight champion, along with being lineal welterweight champion.

thats quite an impressive list of international fighter which meant the 84 games was a very competive tourney. I two was disappointed with willie dewitts carreer but he did beat tillman in his last fight.

and that was with the Russian boycott though I don't know how good their amateur program was back then.
