    He's near the top.

Number 2 or 3 for me.

      Robinson, Armstrong and Leonard.

mlickey walker, emile griffth , jose napoles are some of the others leonard would compete against. the welter weight division does not seem to be as deep as the middle weight and lw

          Ray Charles Leonard.

Not the greatest Ray, not the greatest Charles, and not the greatest Leonard.

Great fighter, i rate him in the top 5 WW ever, i think id have him at 3 after SRR and Homicide Hank. Basillio? He probably sc****s into my top 10 also, i think he would have a great chance vs Ray but id probably favour SRL

              #1 SRR
              #2 Armstrong
              #3 Leonard

Carmen Basilio above Armstrong & Leonard? No chance.
Basilio is probably barely top 20 behind the above, Gavilan, Hearns, Napoles, Ross, Ted 'kid' Lewis, etc etc

              Leonard would of beasted him.

I think Basillio is a top 20 for sure and like i said i have him creeping around the number 10 spot, id have him no lower than 15 id think. Not the point though, Having the beating of a certain fighter doesn't mean u must be rated higher than said fighter. Pep is rated above Saddler for example

I guess why I threw carmins name out there is because he did beat robinson although at middleweight. He had great courage and was a consumate pro.It was not my intent to rate him above leonard. Did duran surprise leonard I do not think so but he did beat him.

Leonard is #2 in my book, ahead of Armstrong. Basilio? Ya gotta be kidding me, he was a tough guy, but the difference in skill is large
