I'm on my phone and can't open the window at the moment but I'm interested in anything new to be found on Greb. I'll check this out more when I get home. Good to see on this forum Slakka, I enjoy your posts over at ESB.

We all want to see him actually fight. Its criminal that nothing exists......

He might be the greatest p4p fighter ever. Strong arguments can be made for that based on his resume.

You’re absolutely right: the resume is amazing. And moreover, he might have had more fights than the 300 he is credited for. Suff legends are made of.

But wouldn’t you think it’s a bit of a stretch to make him the best ever, considering his lack of power? Notwithstanding the fact that he fought in the no-decisions era… Journalists had him win the absolute bulk of his fights, I know.

He was a fabulous middleweight who could compete with the best light heavyweights of his time and even a few heavyweights, but can we really talk about anything like a Sugar Ray Robinson or a peak Henry Armstrong? It seems like you really admire him, JAB5239, and I would like to see you make the case (I say that not to be contradictory but because I sincerely would like that).

One way or the other, if we get to see him fight, it’s going to be one of the greatest boxing events in a long time…

Personally I rank him 2nd behind Sam Langford. Power doesn't play a role in p4p greatness to me. I base it on resume and dominance. I think Greg's resume is better than Robinson and he was just as dominant without having that big ko punch. In the end its just apples and oranges.
