It's a play on old Yakov Smirnoff jokes about Soviet Russia and Pacmans lame singing career.
Old Smirnoff jokes: In America, your job determines your marks
In Russia, Marx determines your job.
      America, what a country.

Yes I'm for supporting your team. But it gives no incentive for a team to improve, unless it stops becoming profitable. Not showing up to games is the only thing owners understand when it comes to improving a team, but you have to have an owner and GM that know what they're doing and actually care about winning, which some don't. For instance, when Mike Burke of CBS owned the Yankees, he didn't know a damn thing about baseball. Kind of like now how James Dolan, who owns Cablevision also owns the Knicks, doesn't know a damn thing about winning basketball. The Mavericks and Heat cared about winning and knew what to do, so they won championships, same with the Yankees after the mid '90s, after a long drought for them. That's why the Cubs haven't won since 1908, because fans keep going out to see that crappy team year after year, plus GMs that apparently don't put together the best teams.

And it doesn't mean I have to like it. At a ballgame, I like cheering, but during a boxing match, it should be done when a fighter does something worth cheering for, unless they're rooting for a fighter. I don't know, I just don't like the singing. I don't mind it when fans chant stuff to root for a certain fighter, but the singing just annoys me. That's why I don't watch Ricky Hatton fights, unless I'm rooting for his opponent, like when he fought Mayweather or Pacquiao. It's just my opinion and I'm entitled to it.

I will say one other thing about this though. At least fans in other countries actually still CARE about boxing. Most Americans have become so indifferent to it. It is still great to see some boxer from Mexico or Argentina or the Phillipines fighting and hearing fans from his home country cheering for him. Cheering I like, but somehow the singing just bugs me for some reason.

It just better not start happening at football games. I can barely tolerate "Bear Down Chicago Bears" at Soldier Field.

I don't mind the fight songs when teams score, it's the ******ed chant songs during the action that drives me nuts. I go to hockey games and some soccer pansies start with the gay azz "ole, ole, ole, ole" bull****, it's irritating as hell.

Glad some people understand what I'm talking about. I just hope English boxing fans don't bring those vuvvuzelas to matches. Maybe they have, I don't watch a lot of Biritish boxing, so haven't seen that yet. Yeah the ole ole ole ole stuff I don't even mind, unless they keep doing it over and over. I think I heard that on TV at a Forrest Griffin fight, I guess because he's Irish?
