Not a very significant fight, but Hearns-Sturm was an early stoppage.

What happened by Juanma stopping Salido in 6 rounds in the rematch by the way?

JuanMa is one of those guys who still punches despite being completely out on his feet.

The most recent for me was Canelo Alvaraez-Alfonso Gomez. Not that Gomez was going to win (he was not imo) but the stoppage was just ridiculous. Another really bad one that I can remember was Tua-Rahman 1. I think most here know the story behind that.

Was Tyson-Carl Williams ko a bad stoppage? I remember reading somewhere that Williams was ok and beat the count.

It was somewhat premature. Williams didn't help his case by doing the head shake and big eye blink just as Randy Newman was finishing the 8-count.

AGreed, thought Taylor should've been allowed to go the distance.

Lol, I've personally been having that debate with you on and off for at least 12 years!

With me too. And I won't say where I stand to avoid starting it up again

                    I'll just say....

I wish Steele hadn't stopped it. I was a huge Chavez fan and I think he'd have been better off taking that loss. With the way he finished he wouldn't have been criticized for losing that fight, especially after how brilliant Taylor had been. Instead the result created a legion of haters of him, and people hate the guy so much they take away from his accomplishments and abilities.

I think there would have been a quick rematch and Chavez would have beaten Taylor without controversy
