All time I think Top 50 is very reasonable.

He will soon be approaching Calzaghe's 46-0 record. IMO he would already be there if he didnt take so much time off.
Do you think he would get any credit if he beats the 49-0 record or would people say it doesnt count because he isnt a heavyweight or that JCC jr already beat it (though with many low quality filler matches)
Julio Cesar Chavez was 87-0 before he got a "draw" with Pernell Whitaker. Willie Pep was 62-0 before he lost to Sammy Angott.
Even if he gets to 49-0, he's not really breaking any record, unless he's a heavyweight champ.

I also think it is important to remember although Marciano's 49-0 LOOK'S very impressive,He had his fair share of filler

i don't think he fights often enough also like somebody else said the 49-0 is more of a heavyweight champ thing though 'breaking' that and retiring at like 50-0 or something especially considering the level of his competition would look pretty fecking awesome. I doubt if he's too concerned about it though.

I already know about Chavez and his story. Chavez had a lot of filler fights as well, a lot, to get to that number.
If he did get to 49-0 and retired undefeated then yes he would be breaking a record and "the curse" in terms of sports superstition, because nobody else has done that since Marciano.
