Did u notice Terry Norris holding Ortiz's belt for him? Eerie....

you don't play you fight. I'm not a fan of Mayweathers antics but he did nothing wrong.
You've completely lost me. At no point did I (or anyone else - I think) say he broke any rules. If you don't believe any semblance of sportsmanship either exists or should exist in boxing then why is it we don't see ALL fighters suckerpunching an opponent in such fashion every time an apology is made for a low blow, head butt etc. Indeed, why do fighters apologise full stop?

The truth is most fighters do observe an unwritten code of ethics - for whatever reasons.

Also I find it very funny your talking about sportsmanship when you have Eubank as your pic.
You do realise one of Eubanks strategies if a fight went long distance would be to pretend he's going to touch gloves with an opponent then suckerpunch them when they are not expecting it. He has done this many times.
What do you think of Eubank?? Is Eubank a lowlife??
I don't recall labelling Mayweather a "lowlife" so why you use that term I have no idea. As for having Eubank as my avatar - so what? It doesn't mean I universally love, worship, agree with, disagree with or am the guy. Throughout his career (and beyond) Eubank achieved many notable things. He also made mistakes and in some cases paid dearly for them. I don't have a problem with criticising him. And - interestingly enough - he doesn't have a problem criticising himself.

Floyd, on the other hand, appears to inhabit Floyd-land where everything Floyd does is right and if anyone says otherwise they can kiss his ass.

I think he has always been a complete fraud....and I started feeling that way when, in 1992, he picked Rid**** Bowe and Lennox Lewis as the #1 and #2 lb4lb in the world.....over Whitaker and Chavez.

        lol hows this for bias

i think jim lampley is regularly biased toward the better looking man in the ring
        i mean physically better looking

        weird huh?
i seriously cant think of a handsome fighter that he didn't gush over.

i mean the guy is obviously going to support HBO fighters on some level. nobody wants to make a habit of pissing off his bosses and undermining their business.

I agree with this 100 percent. He is the most inaccurate blow by blow commentator that I've ever seen. Mayweather hurt Ortiz with a counter right towards the end of round three and had Ortiz on the run. Lamley yells" Ortiz lands a left and shows he can match Mayweather's speed!" or something like that. Just terrible.

So why are you crying about What Maywaether did??

Eubank was a scumbag. He taunted opponents and he sucker punched people all the time. Half the time he didn't even win his fights he just relied on surviving and robbing the opponent.

And yet your crying about Mayweather punching some fool who forgot he's in a boxing match for a world title...............
Your even going so far as to bring up soccer matches????? lol!!!

            So you agree??
If Mayweather is a bad sportsman, than Eubank is the worst ever........
Don't know how you can see it any other way.......

You can talk about sportsmanship all you want but the fact of the matter is your just biased, Your Eubank love proves that.

Ortiz should have known that Mayweather is not to be trifled with, kissed, or excessively apologized to for anything in the ring. Mayweather did it to Gatti, and then again to Sugar Shane. Ortiz was either a fool for letting that happen, or he was fooled into letting it happen. Either way, he should have known better and if he didn't then he definitely got what was coming to him.

My point exactly. It's no secret Mayweather will hit you in that situation......
And why Ortiz kept on apologising for the butt until the ko is beyond me.....
He apologised once thats enough, why go to hugg/kiss mayweather again??
Ortiz has no one to blame but himself.

Mayweather is a cherry picker and he comes across as an insecure clown
but he taught that fool what's what and he done it fair and square.

I was with ya until you used the term "cherry picker" but that could just be a generational thing. When I was younger, we called it handpicking your opponents and very few fighters had the luxury of doing that. Or the status to do that. Sugar Ray Leonard was one, I guess Floyd is another.

Do you have any other words and/or emotions to inject into me? I criticised Mayweather. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I could have sworn the title of this thread is "Mayweather vs Ortiz ..." - not the Life & Times of Chris Eubank. It's a good way of NOT answering the question I asked (now twice). I'll ask it again:

If you don't believe any semblance of sportsmanship either exists or should exist in boxing then why is it we don't see ALL fighters suckerpunching an opponent in such fashion every time an apology is made for a low blow, head butt etc. Indeed, why do fighters apologise full stop?

Are you feeling ok? Did you not read the bit where I said I have no problem criticising Eubank's misdemeanours? In any case you'll have to explain HOW Eubank could possibly be the "Worst sportsman - ever". I mean, we're talking a long, long time here. And you're including not just boxing.

Good luck answering that one. LOL.

ROFLMAO! I think we know who the nuthugger here is.

Obviously you've watched very little of Eubank.....
