Not as high as Douglas /Tyson, Napoles/Backus/ Arguello/Fernandez and a lot of others. Mainly because Mayweather is 34 and has been inactive. No one knows for sure how he will look. And Ortiz is a very live opponent. And he's 10 years younger. It would be a big upset but I can think of many that I personally would consider bigger.

I think it would rank about even with Jones-Tarver if he were to get KO'ed.

I agree 100 percent with that.

If Ortiz were to win you can already hear the excuses:

'Mayweather had personal **** and court cases messing with his mind'

'Mayweather was ring rusty and inactive'

          'Mayweather's fragile hands surfaced again'

'Mayweather was only fighting for the money to pay lawyers fees'

'Ortiz was given a gift decision by Golden Boy judges'

'Ortiz is so big at the weight'

'Mayweather underestimated Ortiz because Berto was able to drop him'

'Mayweather fought the wrong fight by standing and trading, rather than boxing and moving'

          'Mayweather grew old overnight'

          'Mayweather always struggled with southpaws'

'Ortiz must have taken PEDs the minute before getting in the ring'

To be honest, I see Mayweather winning a decision in an entertaining fight. But one day he simply has to lose.............then wait for the excuses!!

If Mayweather wins you'll also see plenty of excuses, polls, and comments to discredit his win. That works both ways.

right up there, baby. it would be one of the biggest since tyson got stopped by douglas.

especially considering his only real chance is to capitalize on an opportunity to crunch him out with the hook.

in a fight he will probably be losing

i consider ortiz ability to keep his hands free the determining factor in this fight. if he cant he's going to be easy work. maybe a couple interesting moments early, but ortiz slows markedly late in his fights.

if he can keep floyd from tying him up i think this fight will be much more interesting. i don't think floyd legs are what they once were.

joe cortez is refereeing... somebody take him out of the game please

slip him a micky at the casino on friday night and bundle him up in a closet somewhere

No, not even close IMO. Ortiz is the most dangerous challenger that Floyd has faced in awhile, and now he is 34 and coming off another long layoff.
