If I have to make one pick I'll go with Salvador Sanchez.
You are one lame troll. Solis LOL. Yet I'm an idiot for mentioning Mayweather in a very specific context that you ignored: him missing out on a lot of great, difficult fights and retiring for quite a few years right in his prime.
Sanders. Had raw talent, but threw it away. Could have been an ATG HW had he been more dedicated to Boxing. Had great hand speed and athletic ability in his younger years.
I don't know about an ATG, but Corrie Sanders is definitely a waste of talent. I think a lot of people purposely down play his ability just to make Wladimir Klitschko look bad.
His problem has always been a lack of dedication to the sport.
Exactly what did Douglas do in that fight that would lead you to conclude that he would "give everyone fits"?
He teed off on a guy standing perfectly still who was only throwing about 20 punches per round. Then he'd grab and hold on whenever he sensed danger. Tyson fans make him out to be some world-beater; in reality he beat a guy who offered less opposition than a heavy bag.
Man, I agree and I've always said this. Douglas had a period when he fought very well as a top contender and briefly champion, but he didn't get suddenly amazing for one night and one night only. He was just as well trained and motivated for other fights, and in the years leading up to the Tyson fight.
The same thing happened against Tucker. He came in very well trained, highly motivated, even trimmer than he was against Tyson, and fought just as well, but against another undefeated fighter that was still highly motivated himself and didn't just stand there and fold, he got beat. Fought well, but got tagged and eventually stopped. Tucker would have stopped him in the Tyson fight too.
He wasn't an ATG for one night. It's a ridiculous myth. No one can train for one camp and suddenly be an ATG after that one camp and **** the rest of your career. He had years of fighting with just as much motivation leading up to Tyson and had many fights just as good. He was just not that great a fighter, and got the right guy at the right time. He would have been beaten by a lot of other guys that night too. Holyfield would have knocked him out much the same on the best night of his life. He just had flaws as a fighter.
Mayweather wasted a lot of years/fights of his prime. He could have fought Margarito, a fresher Cotto, Pac, Paul Williams, Martinez all when they were at the peak of their hype.
Not all of those fights not happening were down to Mayweather though.
I wouldn't say an ATG and arguably the greatest fighter of his era was a waste of talent.

He's not a waste of talent but he wasted a lot of his talent is what I'm saying. Again, those years he retired he could have fought the guys I mentioned and it would have boosted his legacy tremendously. He definitely could have fought all the guys I mentioned.
For me it's Mark Breland. Coming out of the 84 Olympics with gold and a stellar amateur background, he was touted as a can't miss ATG. He certainly was talented, but seemed to lack the mental toughness for the pro game.
