Roy said you fight a boxer and box a fighter. He wouldn't sit on the outside against a significantly taller man he would be aggressive like he was against Hill(who is very similar to Spinks but not as tall and has less power).
Spinks fought Light-Heavies that were a hell of a lot closer to Roy's class then Jones fought that were close to Spinks' class.

Virgil Hill is as good as any LHW Spinks fought

Are you really basing prime LHW Spinks off of the Tyson fight ?.

Not when Jones fought him he wasn't. Tommy Hearns beat a prime Virgil Hill. Roy Jones did not.

No, not at all.... but if there had been some as scary as Tyson at LHW..... maybe......., you did notice that I favour Spinks in this matchup but Jones is a chance, no doubt about it.

Virgil Hill was only one fight removed from being the #1 ranked light heavyweight and would even go on and become a cruiserweight champion after getting knocked out by Roy. The Hill that Roy beat was just as good as Qawi(Spinks best opponent)

I forgot about that Hearns V Hill fight..... I was shocked when Old Tom beat him, just proves that Hill was not an ATG I suppose. I saw Virgil Hill sparring Kostya Tszyu once, believe it or not...... Kostya did pretty well too although both men weren't putting all their weight behind their punches.

No, Spinks doesn't crumble under scary / aggresive boxers at all, hell a lot came out aggressive against him and ended up getting knocked out or loosing a wide decision, he just wasn't ready for Tyson at all, at a bad weight, past it and was preparing for his retirement (Went into it briefly before fighting him even).

Yeah? And past-it fighters haven't held belts before? Cruiser is a worthless tomato can division in any case. A past-it Hill as good as a prime Qawi? Bull****.

Agreed. The Tyson fight can't be used against Spinks at 175 in any way, shape, or form.
