no one and I mean no one keeps Hagler on the outside, Hagler walks thru Monzons comfort zone, goes to work, wins a clear cut decision

I like Hagler better, but I've grown to rate Monzon higher and better h2h. Neither has faced an adversary as good as the other before, but I think Monzon edges him with his advantages in height, reach and his methodical style.

Monzon by decision. I don't think Monzon, who has great sense of distance, will have much problem at keeping the fight at the distance especially since Hagler was not adept at cutting the ring off. And even if Hagler does get inside, Monzon is an effectively frustrating clincher and is very rough and dirty on the inside in clinches.

Monzon would shut him down, Hagler would be frustrated like with no other opponent and never be able to get started. Clear decision, maybe worst match-up for Hagler in MW history.

Why not put this on teh fight list...This will be great...

I pick Monzoon to beat Hagler.

By the way, I think its best to run atleast a 5 match series, to check who wins. I will say after you complete your wifes request (wife gets priority) , it will be great if you run this.

I will gladly add Hagler-Monzon (and bump it up) but I only do one, maybe two fights.

And in rare case, like in boxing, a trilogy.

              Not 5, not 10, and not 100.

I'm not interested in the percentage statistics like that, who won most etc, I just like playing the game and simulating classic or dream boxing matches. I play like it's real, and treat the results accordingly in the write up that follows the fight.

I don't rule out a rematch, or a trilogy especially in the case of Hagler-Monzon.

Gotta see how the fights go. Maybe one guy annihilates the other and no rematch is justified.

Or maybe they go toe to toe and split a pair, setting up a a rubber match for ATG Middleweight supremacy.

I agree with these. Monzon used his height as good as anyone in boxing history, and he would frustrate Hagler en route to a solid decision.
