Not sure, but it would a great fight.

One of the best possible dream fights I can think of.

This is such a difficult fight to predict. One of the tougher ones in my opinion.

Most often when i reflect over this fight in my head, Monzon snags it away, pushing the pace and setting up everything with his excellent jab. Sometimes outright outboxing Hagler.
Combined with his toughness, i think he could pull it off.

But I'm really open to the idea that hagler has solid ways to victory.

As do I. Which would lead to his downfall.

Monzon by close but clear descision.

really? i think hagler would give him fits....

i need to watchmoremonzon ive only watched his fights with benveuti....

but i think ifhagler put allot of pressure and went to the body he would be stronger inside....

but hey its a tough fight to call.

He certainly would be the stronger on the inside.

The problem is; I don't think Hagler will get inside all too much. I don't think he will be all that comfortable trying to put consistent pressure on Monzon.

Monzon is really an absolute master as distance, one of the best I have ever seen in that catergory.

I think he manages to fight his fight, and well.

Of course Hagler will make plenty of the rounds competitive, ultimately a nightmare to score. And will have his share of rounds.

But in the end, the clear winner is Monzon.

Monzon keeps Hagler on the outside with superior size and footwork and wins a clear decision
