I did some research and apparently he didn't. My memory is usually better than that.

Chuvalo was down against Bonavena in which many thought it was a slip.

Did look like he slipped or tripped on Bonavena's feet plus his glove only touched the canvas.

Yeah, but I think there needs to be a defined line between the 'flash, off-balance, slightly clipped' KD and the 'was simply pushed, pulled, wrestled' type of KD. One is a KD, no matter how weak or insignificant while the other was clearly the result of elements other than those used inboxing.

We all say that a KD is a KD, no matter how strong, weak or how much the punch caused the KD. If a punch landed, then it's a kd.....right? Well, in 99% yes, it's perfect. Those shots need to be counted.

However, this is where instant replay absolutely must be used. Anyway, Hagler was one of the unfortunate few that get called with a KD after being pulled around the back of the neck, not punched or even hit with a weak, glancing blow. It missed and went behind his head and then he got pulled. It's one of those 'ref decisions' that are classically dismissed as part of boxing, yet it is so very easily fixed and the correct decision ruled.

Who was daft enough to think that? Of course he hasn't. Roy doesn't get knocked down.....ever.

I'm pretty sure this fight is what started the "Last 10 seconds notification to fighters" rule.
