        I think Ali KO'd Wepner.

        What about Batlling Nelson?

Was Homicide Hank ever put down?

Battling Nelson was down countless times. He always got up though. He had one KO defeat (to Owen Moran), but even there he was up before ten. He took some frightfull beatings, but always came back for more.

I could be wrong about that. It's been a long time since I watched it.

I think Wolgast stopped Nelson but I'm not sure whether there was a knockdown. Armstrong's chin wasn't A1, from what I've heard, as his career passed his annus-mirabilis he started to hit the canvas, he'd definitely suffered some knockdowns, but whether that's because he was silly enough to fight Middleweights I don't know. You know the never been knocked down category is a very rare and exclusive group. I'm happy to say that my mate is one of those from that most exclusive club in all pugilism,.............. I like that word a lot. Pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism. pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism, pugilism. puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllliii iism.

Ali definitely dropped Wepner. The first to do it.
