    it was horrible

on some no hoper in his hometown if i remember correctly.

the dude was just reeling from head and body shots and the ref was like using "footwork" around him showing off and getting different angles of viewing on the beating.

the doc stopped the fight. literally walked through the ropes waving his hands.

mike jones threw a boatload last year trying to get soto-karass out of there in their first fight too. he of course didn't, wasted about 130 punches without landing many, and got dragged into a very high contact fight.

however, this BW knocked his opponent through the ropes in much more brutal fashion. guerrero is also a jr MW. he should be able to hurt guys with one punch and have an easier time knocking a man back

and mcgoorty, bro , i would have voted much higher without the captions after the numbers.

on a pure 1-10 scale i'dgive it probably an eight
    maybe 8 and a half

didn't want to give it the brilliant tag seeing as he was just sort of lining him up and hammering away
I also understand that there are a lot of fights that may resemble this fight, but VERY few for undisputed World linear titles I would say, I'll say one thing but,...... a fight like this would have been stopped by a Policeman in any bout in the US, UK & Australia PRE-1920's. Just like Johnson/Burns.

I just judged off of what I saw in the ring and not resume's of two guys I've never heard of. Both were not impressive to me.

Well obviously if you only knew Toweel from this vid fair enough, but it may be worth your while to see Toweel beat Ortiz,,..... but Ortiz was past his best. But any world champ from that era had to be good, every champion through the 30' to 50-s was great,..... the only ones close to being bums were Risko and Carnera.

I know what you mean. The only Michael Spinks fight I ever saw was the Tyson fight. What a piece of crap he must have been.

I never even want to ever hear EITHER SPINKs mentioned again...... but I bet I will.
I hope you're speaking of Michael Spinks as a heavy.

He was plain GREAT at 175lbs.

Yes I am, he was the best LHW of his time I'd rather forget Leon, but I don't think it was as helpful to Tyson's reputation. In Nature, smaller animals wisely know a mismatch when they see one. And this was one of the all-time stinkers. Spinks was crazy to take the fight, the result would have been the same if it was Marciano, Dempsey or Louis were there instead of Mike. Some lesser LHW's do a lot better in the HW's over time than Spinks who is a bit like Patterson, Fragile when handled by dynamite. So you're welcome to mention him in his rightful realm. In many ways Michael was a better fighter than Tyson but he wasn't built for a Liston type. Gee I bet Spinks hated people reminding him about the Tyson fight all those years.

I'm not so sure the victor in this fight should be placed in the same sentence as a prime Mike Tyson. There's a difference. I have not seen this guys resume but he was definitely a bum. He can't even fire a shot while a guy stands there in front of him throwing wild one dimensional and rather weak looking shots? Nah, I'm out on that. Not impressed.

As opposed to Spinks looking for a soft place to lay down from the moment he got in the ring?
