    Who had the better jab?

    Joe Louis or Ray Robinson

These guys seem like the consensus pick for "best offensive fighters ever." Both were known for their speed, power, accuracy and combination punching. But a lot of times, their jabs get lost in the mix. They were both excellent, hard and quick jabbers. So I'll pose the question to you guys: who between the two had the better jab?

For my money, I'd go with Robinson. Louis used his jab more as a tool to get his way inside while Sugar Ray was more of an outside fighter. Ray's rhythm was more dependent on his jab, it was a bigger part of his game. He was more practiced with it, giving him the advantage.

Based on what I've seen, Louis had the harder jab but Robinson was more versatile with his. Perhaps faster too. Slight edge to Robinson.

I'm going to go with Louis.

A jab amongst the greatest of all time in HW history and was once upon a time considered the elite 'Jabber' in HW history.

He's still an elite jabber in HW history in my opinion. Top 5 for sure, if not better.
