    Yes.

IMO, Barrera has the better jab, the better defense, and is the better overall boxer.

Plus, people always say the Marquez has the best combinations but Barrera is/was no slouch either in that department.

      Especially the 5th round.

Marquez's are more refined/streamlined...Barrera's more explosive, especially the way he'd automatically deliver that left hook to the body at the end.

I loved the combo he used to finish off Ayala with
          http://********/AcurvSkp38E?t=6m24s

5 out of 5 punches landed, and to top it all off it was started by a perfect right hand counter shot after Ayala missed a left hand. and to finish the job, a left hook to the body against a fighter that had never been down before.
          nasty.

Barrera had some EXCELLENT combinations man but in my mind Marquez is a league above in that department, his combinations truely are a thing of beauty they flow like water! Infact id name him as THE premier combination puncher of the era, perhaps ever. Oh Yeah....

I think of Marquez as a fighter with slightly better technique but Barrera is/was a tougher fighter and harder puncher.

After seeing JMM go 12 rounds after a 3 knockdown first round along with a badly broken nose, I'm not willing to concede a toughness advantage to anyone.

What did marquez in was chin. He is the overall better fighter than morales and barrera and pac as well. If he had a good chin he would of won against pac.
