What about Gomez?? Do you think Bazooka would take Manny's head off, at 122?

      is manny better than sanchez?
no. at 126 i can say that's my opinion to a degree of certainty.

FW sanchez > FW pacquiao. manny really didn't start to box until he began to fight larger men.
the best boxing manny (and he is a very good boxer today) is a WW. at FW he was a come forward southpaw with an iron chin and the biggest left hand i've ever seen at the weight.

.we didn't get a chance to see sanchez fight out his career into retirement.

sanchez was a butter boxer / puncher at his best
      absolutely butter
with dangerous hands and a superhuman chin.

      but he died early
he didn't come close to cementing the legacy pacquiao put together in terms of greatness

put them H2H at 126 or 130 though and i'm picking sanchez by ref stoppage on the ropes in the 8th or 9th round. sanchez had all the tools to beat FW pacquiao. he could handle the speed, take the punch, and hurt manny back.

      as we've all discussed
greatness and favorability H2H are different animals

sanchez is one of the most talented and complete fighters i've ever seen
skills, athletic quality, chin, punching power, balls balls balls

but there's no way we can say he would have surpassed manny pacquiao in greatness in terms of accomplishments in boxing.

we can say that he accomplished much less in his time as a boxer because of a fatal car accident, because he did.

      if there's a heaven
after i see everybody i havn't seen in a while

      i'm heading to the fights
and a young sanchez and manny pacquiao at 126 is def on the card.

i got another good one from the handicap of size
126 sanchez against the late edwin valero (who was a lightweight)
lets see what they had (sanchez for what would have been his eventual campaigns at as much as 140 lbs because of his size, and valero for a chance to see him in against somebody with more than a faint pulse)

i'm going to rewatch FW paquiao when i get back from working today
likewise with sanchez' fihts with gomez, lopez, and nelson, perhaps la porte
two windows open at once perhaps

      on a semi unrelated note:
      juan la porte fought:
      sanchez
      rocky lockridge
      usebio pedroza
      gomez
      mcquigan
      chavez
      john john molina
      nelson
      tszyu

i'll take a career like that with double digit losses over a pampered fighter any day of the week.

You are all ignoring one obvious fact: the questionability of Pac's greatness above 130! There are many facts that all indicate that he is using illegal substances and has been since after the 2nd Marquez fight. He looked sluggish in that fight and then he moves up to 135 and destroys a respectable fighter like David Diaz with ease! Isnt this at least a little su****ious to you??

not at all, since Marquez is exponentially more skilled than Diaz, who was getting owned by Santa Cruz before a freak knockout on Cruz's china chin.

of all examples to make, why David Diaz? geez.
