Poor Finishers

Chris Eubank should get a mention here.. He often hurt opponents, only to stand back and admire his work.. Collins and Thompson II were two classic examples.

TROY WATERS... he could really hit, but I don't know why he bothered, he'd hit a guy real hard, unlike LaMotta who is mentioned above, Waters had good power but after hurting his man, he just stood back and admired his work and would then move away and not throw anymore punchers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not only was he a terrible finisher, Troy seemed to carry no killer instinct whatsoever. The only way not to fight him was the way Terry Norris did, stand toe to toe with Waters and force the Kulnura boy to fight for his life, on those occasions we got to see a war, Norris won on that occasion but only just avoided his own oblivion. All a boxer had to do was box with Waters and outpoint him, but you had to be a very good one as waters liked to cruise to a points victory, and sometimes he landed a clean hard shot and his victim stayed down and Waters won that way. --------------------------A Waters fight was usually a snorefest.

So far Golata and Jermain Taylor really fit the bell. Eubank was inconsistant I can't think of any actual examples but Tapia was a pretty inconsistent finisher as well

Golota may have been the worst. He should have had Bowe out of there in both fights, and absolutely let Michael grant off the hook.
Earnie Shavers? Yeah, he finished off plenty of guys, but also let a few guys he had out, back in....
