Does a no-contest count as a title defense?

Not seeing the comparison. In a draw the fighter has to go the distance and make the fight close. In a NC, the champ could lose each and every round leading up to a partial fight (that he would've lost and perhaps didn't even throw a punch to end the fight.) I don't know, seems like you'd have to evaluate the NCs individually. The Hopkins fight, you could argue he did everything right, was winning the fight, and wasn't at fault for what happened. But others, I'm not so sure about.Comment

neither would i,but like jim jeffries said a few posts back you have too look at individual examples, which can make it hard for anything too be set in stoneComment

Tim Bradley's first defense of the WBO JWW title vs. Nate Campbell. Originally ruled WTKO3, later changed to NC3. Do you count that as a title defense?Comment

I disagree. Guys like Resto, Toney, all of the cheats should be given DQ retroactively. They cheated. Why reward them with a NC? Because they got away with it during the fight?Comment
