Which boxers have the best combination of punching power and punch resistance?

Foreman is the most brutal combination of the two to ever come together. So much so that unlike fighters such as Tyson, they carried him to Olympic gold with virtually no experience and rudimentary skills. How many pure punchers can say that?

Maybe Marciano would hang in the best with him, he may be the second best take a punch give a punch combination. If he could make it past the early onslaught of Forman's he would have a chance because of his better endurance. If he made it into the second round I think Marciano's punches would carry more power. And Formans punches may start to have less effect on Marciano.

Still, it is not easy to imagine anyone truly going shot-for-shot, at point-blank range, & surviving. Foreman had a battle-tested jaw & absolutely ungodly power in both his left & his right hand.

I would probably take Dempsey ahead of Marciano for this contest, too.

Liston, Dempsey, Jeffries are all good picks, I think.

When Marciano put all of his force into a shot I don't know how many Forman could take, maybe not even two maybe not even one. I Favor Forman, but not rolling with the punches just taking them flush on the jaw is a totally diffrent game.

Also I feel Langford should be mentioned. He probably couldn't take what he was dishing, but still given his size you'd be hard pressed to find today a 155er who could stop Sam.

Most of his filmed fight he's in a KO or lose situation. The thing is Rocky never stopped. Archie stopped 131 others' but not Rocco.
