I don't think Patterson was ever quite the same after the Liston fights, but even prime for prime, he's not a match for Ali, though IMO it'd be a closer, more interesting fight.

Yeah a fit and healthy Patterson and a Prime version would be tougher for Ali but not a match

Now, we all know the level of Cus boxing IQ. Why are so many of you disagreeing with Cus? This was after Ali's best fights were behind him and Cus knew Ali well and still had this opinion.

Patterson would have done much better at his best but i still think Ali would win. Would have been good to watch though Patterson was fast.
