Unless you were in there watching it, how would you know it's not a myth?
Sonnyboy was actually at the fight, just as he was for Lewis/Bruno and Calazghe/Eubank. Sonnyboy was about to knock on Ali's door to ask for an autograph when he heard strange noises coming from the dressing room....Sonnyboy decided to investigate and he walked in right as the Champ was spraying greatness all over Diana Ross's face.
Where did u hear it anyway sonny? I Believe u like, im just curious
i read it many years ago,it was either in "The Fight" by Norman Mailer.. or George Plimptons book... The writer said after Fight of the Century all the reporters at ringside dashed to the winners dressing room but when he got there the door was slammed shut in his face as the room was full, so he dashed off to Ali's dressing room and as he opened the door Ali was lying on the slab and his torso was covered in a huge mass of black hair it was Miss Ross so he closed the door and waited outside... i am 95% sure it is in Mailers book.
I'm sure I've read that as well and Ive read other accounts saying that Diana Ross was in his dressingroom.
She was definitely in the dressing room hugging Ali and crying after he lost the fight. Ali put that in his own book. They were friends. As far as the other activity that Sonny claims is a fact, I haven't read one thing about that.

One thing that I do know is that Ali went to the hospital to get his badly swollen jaw x-rayed. He had to be beyond exhausted as well. I don't buy this story at all.
