Hagler. Hagler had underated defense and was good at everything else, not to mention a huge gas tank. Jones had a lot of trouble with montel the first time around I see Jones having trouble with Hagler as well only Hagler doing more in the late rounds. I would give Jones a good shot though. I just see the pressure Hagler was putting on Leonard who has the same height and reach as Jones (maybe a tad shorter) only he was tough, although probably not as quick still as Jones.

Jones is bigger, stronger, quicker, more powerful...Hagler's a pretty small middleweight. If he lands flush on Roy, it'll hurt, but Roy gets more **** for his chin than he deserves and Hagler will have a lot of trouble landing on him. I say Roy by UD.

Depends on how the fight plays out.

If Hagler uses the same strategy he used against Tommy hearns, late TKO/UD.

If he uses the Leonard strategy, I pick Jr in a bore fest.

I will also note that RJJ had trouble with Tarver, who was a lefty.

haglers taylor made for jones, he will just pick him apart whilst hagler marches forward, small chance maybe of tko in the late rounds for hagler but nothing worth betting on.

At a higher weight, I lean towards Jones. At 160 I lean towards Hagler.

It'd be interesting to see how the styles mesh. Both guys were terrific counter punchers. Jones became very experienced with southpaws, although not so much before he went to 175. Jones liked to counter southpaw jabs with a left hook. Still, Hagler had a great jab and I can see it getting through, and Hagler not being too discouraged from throwing it despite getting countered.

If they're fighting at range in the center of the ring and Jones is getting the better of it, with speed and counter-punching, Hagler can go into a more aggressive mode like he did versus Hearns and the latter rounds versus Mugabi. I kind of think this might be the best game plan for Hagler.

I also think Roy's tendency to go back to the ropes can hurt him. Roy liked to flurry his way off the ropes, but Hagler could be really effective when his opponent was on the ropes.

What if Hagler fights in his more usual style and doesn't come forward?

Roy was just as smart and has every physical advantage so yeah I got Roy by a late KO like the first Griffin fight(minus the BS late hit) if Hagler comes forward. But if Hagler lays back then it will look just like the Hopkins fight except maybe easier cause Hagler doesn't have the length of Hopkins

                  Roy Jones.

Roy was so fast man Blisteringly Fast! Bigger too and the puncher, better reflexes and while he's no Hagler in the chin department he could take a shot back then

                  Roy UD

True Tarver was a problem for Roy but Roy knows southpaws he fought loads of em and about 7 back to back i think and dominated, doubt many fighters can say that!
