First off if it's a 15 round contest, there is no doubt in my mind Hagler wins.

In a 12 round contest it's a whole lot different and it totaly depends on what happends after round 8 as up to then Roy will most likely frustrate Hagler and outpoint him. I believe Hagler wears Roy down using his superior stamina to push the fight and become very much the aggresor, in which Roy must fire back to stay in it. These later rounds are faught at a furios pace which tires Jones and then Hagler still going strong wins the fight by late stoppage.

I think Hagler's knockout's and seemingly aggressive style really over-shadow his ring IQ, cleverness, timing, defense, and everything you'd want. A green Hopkins made it a very competitive fight, and all he did was come forward trying to land a right hand. Roy seems to have a huge problem with consistency. When ever he fights a fighter who had the intelligence and mental toughness to be persistent, he's had trouble.

Timing a prime Roy Jones would have been close to impossible.

I saw that too. 1. Hagler's chin was like titanium. My own independent research indicates that he's actually the Thing. 2. Roy could not care less about a stoppage. If it happened it happened, and with his speed and power, it usually did, but he would never risk going for the KO against someone as dangerous as Marvin. ******ed vote all around.

I'm going Jones, partly because I am a RJ nuthugger and partly because I honestly think Jones at anywhere around 168 might beat anyone. He would not do it easy, but I think his speed, power, and unorthodox style would keep Hagler at bay enough to win a decision.

hagler would and could cut the ring off but he would take a high volume of punches over the fight but eventually he would get to jones and force a stoppage

What fight were you watching? B-Hop is my favorite fighter of all time but there was never a point in that fight where Roy was in any danger of losing or drawing.

Hagler stops him in a 12 rounder or 15... different class of a fighter.
