    Which set would you buy?

I'd make this thread on the non stop boxing forum, but since the ones here are more experienced, I'd like your feedback. I'm thinking about getting myself a Christmas gift and am currently torn between two sets that I want.

    This is set #1:

    M.S.MUHAMMAD VS Y.LOPEZ
    LEONARD VS HEARNS I
    CHACON VS LIMON IV
    CHACON VS EDWARDS II
    RAMIREZ VS ROSARIO II
    HAGLER VS HEARNS
    CRUZ VS MCGUIGAN
    LEONARD VS HAGLER
    LOPEZ VS LOCKRIDGE
    DURAN VS BARKLEY

I like this collection because of Leonard-Hearns and Leonard-Hagler, the reason why I'm not nuts about Ramirez-Rosario and Hagler-Hearns is because I already have these fights in my collection. Other than that, it seems solid. Then again, I have no idea who the fighters in the first fight are...

    Set #2:

    CHAVEZ VS TAYLOR I
    QUIROGA VS ANIFOWOSHE
    HOLYFIELD VS BOWE I
    CARBAJAL VS GONZALEZ I
    JACKSON VS CASTRO
    SORJATURONG VS GONZALEZ
    TYSON VS HOLYFIELD I
    GATTI VS RUELAS
    GATTI VS ROBINSON I
    TAPIA VS AYALA I

I like Chavez-Taylor, not the result, but because it's a very controversial and highly entertaining fight. The thing about this set is that I don't have any fights, but I have no idea HOW big these fights were. I know these big names and I've seen snippets of these fights and know the results of some of them, but I don't know how this particular set stands out IN COMPARISON to set #1. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

PS: I REALLY want to order the Hopkins Career set but they don't have his latest fight, which is driving me crazy and preventing me from ordering it. If they stick the Pascal fight in there, I'll be ordering that in a heartbeat!

    Thanks again guys!

Chavez-Taylor, Holyfield-Bowe and Gatti-Ruelas seal the deal. Duran-Barkley and Chacon-Limon are good, but I'd go with set II.

Yeah, man. It might be better to just buy career set 2 from the 90's and then pick up some of the good fights from set #1 through Ray Leonard's career set.

I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out what sets/collections to get for myself!

        I'm leaning towards #2 now.

This is where I'm getting my stuff from. I ordered Wilfredo Gomez' collection through here.

Keep in mind, though...they didn't have all his fights.

The good thing about the site, however, is that you can click on a boxer and they LIST all the fights within that career set. I remember looking for a good site and I've seen plenty around, but many of them just tell you that it's a career set and don't actually include all their fights. Here, at least you know what you're getting into.

The other aspect about the site is that the prices are fair (in my opinion). You receive the CD's in plastic CD envelopes with the list of the fights on that particular CD printed on the side.

Once again, that's just me, though. I got exactly what they offered me, and I wasn't disappointed. Nothing fancy on the DVD's though, no fancy menus or anything, they're just fights and occasionally you'll get ring entrances, post-fight interviews, and sometimes you might even get a bonus fight or two!

Both are great sets. I'd pick the first one if I had to choose. The MSM-Lopez fight is amazing, and the Chacon fights are terrific too.

To bad you can't mix and match. I'd lean toward set 1 myself.

Both are excellent sets but me personally i would go for set 1 the Chacon fights swing it.. i have all the fights from both sets and they are all terrific fights, Don Dunphy calling the action for Leonard vs Hearns (1) is fantastic .

I have the fights myself but I agree with everything JAB5239 says here.
