I have posted with for many years. Both Scott9945 and Joseph5620 can attest that "Phantomdo" (his user name on another site) is very well versed in boxing history, and with a giant collection of fights. Here is the link.

Hey Jab, I'm way late on this thread. Is Phant really Steven Maguire?

I don't want to say I know it as a fact, but I see no reason for him to lie. He sent me an e-mail saying as much. As much boxing as I read about I seldom pay attention to who's written the articles. Did you know of his work without knowing it was actually Phant, and what were your impressions outside of what we already knew from the old board?

No, I'm not familiar with that author. And Phant had always told me that he lived in the Northwest USA and this author was from Reno, which is kinda northwest but I was thinking more like Seattle. But Phant has as much integrity as anyone I've been in contact with on the net so if he says it's him then I'll believe it unconditionally.

I received a package with about 3 dozen fights on two tapes maybe 7 or 8 years ago from him. There was no name or return address but I keep thinking it was post marked from Reno. Maybe Im wrong, but like you I have no reason to suspect its not him.

What a pleasant surprise. The last time I posted on that old AOL board(several months ago) Phant was still there.

Yeah I check in over there from time to time but never post. Do you know there are still Boof impostors trolling pro boxing discussion section? Almost 3 years later and still trying to bait poor boof. Lol, some of the trolls over there flat out made most of the trolls here look like amateurs.
