Azumah Nelson. A very underrated South African fighter was Brian Mitchell.

Why hasn't anyone even mentioned Ike Quartey? ****. Someone said Joshua Clottey but not Ike? Ike was a beast!

Ike had a chance to be the best, but inactivity shortened his peak. He was off way too long before the De La Hoya fight. Quartey at his peak really was a beast with that thumping jab.

There's no reasonable way, however, Quartey has a place in this discussion. The best African fighter, singularly, of all-time? Quartey has no business here.

Azumah for me, but I understand why people would pick Tiger.

Battling Siki and Cornelius Boza Edwards might not belong in a greatest African fighter thread but should get mention anyways.

For me it's Nelson, no disrespect to Tiger but I feel Nelson is so underated.

Brian Mitchell was a good solid fighter, remember him fighting Jim McDonnell and his fights with Tony Lopez are definately worth a watch.

We are naming notable boxers from there and Quartey is definitely a notable boxer from Africa, more so then most named.

Actually forgot that he was from there, :S good shout Benny.
