One of the worst people to look at in the ring, IMO, is Lennox Lewis. He never looks good. He looks uncomfortable and awkward, it's almost hard to watch.

I assume you're talking about heavyweights, as many many smaller guys have "pretty" styles.

Tyson and Frazier were beautiful to watch. To me anyway.

I enjoy watching Marciano, Frazier, Duran, and Tyson. I think they all made it look good. I don't know if I would feel comfortable calling it "pretty" though.

When I say pretty, I'm talking about making it look smooth and graceful like Ali, Floyd Jr, even Sugar Ray Robinson and Joe Louis to an extent. Weight class doesn't matter.

All the swarmers and sluggers I seen so far have been explosive at most.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought Tyson showed a bit of gracefulness with his style. That right hook to the body, right uppercut to the head combo, the way he'd switch from orthodox to southpaw, his punching technique, movement of his body to get angles, etc...

Obviously it's a different type of grace than someone like Muhammad Ali, but I find Tyson to be an absolutely beautiful fighter to watch.

Henry Armstrong (from the little I've seen, anyhow), seemed pretty fluid.

Yeah I would put Tyson in there. His head movement, his footwork was fantastic. His ferocity masked his grace, balance, speed. He coulda been great if only ...

I would put him head and shoulders above Frazier in this manner. I can't think of any other heavyweight swarmer who has a "pretty" style.

For lower weights I think Pacquiao has (in contrast to to Hatton). But if you think of boxing as bulls v matadors then when we're talking about "pretty" styles we're almost always talking about the matadors.

                Roberto duran

salvador sanchez would bare down on a guy when he was hurt and look pretty doing it.. but he usually didn't begin fights coming forward

aaron pryor was a bit unorthodox about it, but when you slow motion a finishing pryor assault when a man is hurt or on the ropes it's a thing of beauty

                the punches flowed

gatti was a pretty fighter as well
                his punches flowed very naturally

                joe frazier's boxing was aesthetic
i dont know if i'd call it pretty

miguel cotto used to be a body puncher / life taker before he met antonio margarito
he was also a picturesque boxer and looked very good doing it

I've been thinking about this question for days now, and honestly there isn't a single sluggler or swarmer in history that I find aesthetically pleasing to watch. Sonny Liston comes closest. I find swarmers horribly boring in general.

To all these people saying Roberto Duran - what? He was awesome to watch for his skill, but hardly aesthetically pleasing. He clinched and fouled - a lot. A whole lot. Beside the Brawl in Montreal, I would say his "prettiest" fights are against Moore and Barkley. Those were both fights where he was outgunned and boxed his way to a win. Against Moore, he boxed his way inside and beat Davey up, but I wouldn't really say he swarmed him.
