I agree. He was awful and ridiculously biased in favor of Tyson. He didn't even try to hide it. His credibility went down the toilet after that fight.

        Cortez: Calzaghe vs Hopkins
        Smodger: Hopkins vs Holmes
        Asaro: Benn vs McClellan
Does he get fined/suspended, or does nothing happen?
Good question. Why isn't there some kind of punishment? Not only for that, but how about bad judges' decisions?

Because often, everyone's palm is getting greased, not just the officials at ringside.

Do you think Cortez's was "greased" for the Hopkins-Calzaghe fight?

Well in the hatton/mayweather fight cortez was jumping in before they were even in a clinch, taking away any chance ricky had.In the hopkins/calzaghe fight he was letting bhop get away with everything,i think with cortez refs the fight in the way he sees appropriate, giving one guy the advantage-he certainly isnt consistent

Maybe it was a nationality thing, or maybe he was reacting to the crowd. The crowd like Hopkins, ill support Hopkins

Probably a mixture of both.A fighter on his own soil is always going to get a little help from the ref, just the way it is.

Cortez is reffing the khan-maidana fight i think, wonder how he will do in that one

I think he might be neutral for that one, neither fighter is American. Where is the fight being held? In America?

I wonder if Mike Weaver does not regret that Joey Curtis did not chose another line of work.
