Opinions about new thread for boxing today

Im gonna wait a few days to get everyones opinion and than make a decision.

Im thinking about stickying a thread for discussion about boxing current events. It would be one thread only where those who don't want to deal with the trolling and BS in NSB could come and discuss boxing. It will be moderated the same way as every other thread in the history section and I will let it run as long as I can keep it under control. Good idea? Bad idea? Will this invite more trolls? I'd like your opinions before making any decision.

I think it's a good idea. There are plenty of posters like Scott who are primarily interested in current boxing but are sick of the abject nuthuggery that goes on in NSB and would like to have serious discussions without the BS. At least it would give them a "safe haven" from the Nuthugger Support Board (NSB) and hell, when going to a "current boxing" sticky in the History Section maybe they'll see some other threads on classic boxing that interests them. I figure it couldn't hurt and may well encourage good posters from other sections to contribute in the History Section.

Thank you. That is a great concept. My suggestion would be to keep it on a short leash, and by keeping it with the stickys it should be easier to monitor. This forum could use some more quality contributors, and for us Pacific time zone regulars it gets quiet here awfully early.

One problem that I could see is the endless Pac/Floyd debate bringing in trolls like flies on ****. Once it starts the damage here could be permanent. But at least with a sticky you won't have the same morons start the same idiotic threads every single day like on NSB.

I started here on EST but am now on PST :hah9: Considering that the sticky thread would be monitored I would imagine all the trolling would be deleted out in short order

I've thought about posting a question about upcoming/recent fights before just because NSB has so much bull****.
