yeah Froch takes a decent rap yet his performances in this super-six have been terrible... a stoppage win over Jermain Taylor in the final seconds of the fight when miles behind on the scorecards, a home-town gift against Andre Dirrell when Froch never landed more than 10 punches in the entire fight, a heavy points defeat to an over-rated Kessler and a points win over a very mediocre middleweight in Abraham... Glen Johnson is different gravy to those bums.

He has almost NEVER gotten the benefit of the doubt in a close fight. The Green fight is a perfect example, most people would say Johnson was winning yet the judges had Green up by ridiculous margins.

If I had to say why, it's because there is nothing special about him. He isn't a defensive wizard, he isn't that fast, isn't that strong, so he doesn't stand out. Judges give decisions to guys who stand out.

Which is a fair point. All I'm dis*****g is the myth that all/most of Johnson's losses were robberies when at best he only won those fights by a small margin and in several cases I think he genuinely deserved to lose. Even though I thought he beat Dawson the first time it was hardly a shut out. A lot of people did have Dawson winning.

Ridiculous margins? Two judges had Green ahead by a point and the other had Johnson up three points. Johnson is an unconnected journeyman fighter who often fights in his opponent's home town. Some get the breaks and some don't. Marvin Hagler rarely got a break on the cards either. Most of his losses and draws were controversial.

I have seen many bad decisions. I don't understand it exactly but I believe it has something to do with not being a very good lap dog. Glen Johnson may not kiss enough a**.

Just because Johnson complains any time he loses a decision doesn't mean he's always being robbed. A close fight is not a robbery no matter who wins. Cloud was not a robbery, the Dawson fights were not robberies (I thought Glen won the first time but still it was close), Ottke was not a robbery, Tarver was not a robbery, the third Woods fight was not a robbery (though he should have won the first two and he did get one, so it's not as if he's getting screwed every fight). And on the subject of dodgy decisions, what about Johnson's win over Tarver?

I respect Johnson a lot as a tough guy who is willing to fight anyone anywhere. But there is a reason why he has 14 losses, and it's not because he's always being robbed.

Good comments. Johnson even complained about the decision after the second fight with Dawson. A fight he clearly lost. I understand that some of those fights could have gone his way but Dawson is going to complain about the scoring anytime he loses a decision. Regardless. If Froch clearly beats him over 12, and gets the decision, I expect the same complaints.
