  • Glen Johnson Why do the judges rob him

Glen Johnson The Road Warrior - Why has he been robbed so many times by the judges of decisions in big fights, time after time this man gets robbed yet never a word is spoken on his behalf.. Johnson has fought and beat the best yet been robbed of the decisions why?

Yea he has been a touch unlucky!

Sometimes in a close fight judges do seem to go with the younger fighter, or the fighter with best box office potential, or even the fighter with the better record.

Sadly Johnson's record does not reflect his excellent ability. That said, I think his days in world class are numbered. I dont think he'll progress past Froch in the super six. For me his prime was around five years ago when he was beating Tarver, Jones and Woods.

I personally don't see Croch beating Johnson without getting some home cooking from Nottingham judges.

I suppose we'll have to see. Froch is so game, the Pascal fight really showed what a crazy guy he is and he seems to avoid punches a touch better judging from his fight last weekend. He is still alarmingly open at times but I think that right now he has the measure of Johnson.

I think he'll beat Johnson without too much of a stink.

I wouldn't put too much stock in this past weekend's fight: A crude clubfighter beat an apathetic klubfighter who had no interest in being there. Nothing to get excited about.

Just because Johnson complains any time he loses a decision doesn't mean he's always being robbed. A close fight is not a robbery no matter who wins. Cloud was not a robbery, the Dawson fights were not robberies (I thought Glen won the first time but still it was close), Ottke was not a robbery, Tarver was not a robbery, the third Woods fight was not a robbery (though he should have won the first two and he did get one, so it's not as if he's getting screwed every fight). And on the subject of dodgy decisions, what about Johnson's win over Tarver?

I respect Johnson a lot as a tough guy who is willing to fight anyone anywhere. But there is a reason why he has 14 losses, and it's not because he's always being robbed.

I get the feeling he may beat Froch.. Froch doesn't fight well of the back foot.. if Johnson is constantly pressuring him and keeping him out of his comfort zone i see an upset. Saying that i have not watched Glens last 2 fights vs Cloud and Green.

Good comments. People seem to ignore that Johnson's biggest win (over Tarver) was a very dubious decision. I'm getting tired of hearing him complain every time he loses and I expect more of the same against Froch, who will beat him no matter where they fight.
