A guy without a jab is the most-skilled fighter of all-time?

you cannot judge a boxer in his prime alone. it should be thru out his career. boxers prove their greatness inside the ring. you cannot say RJJ was so talented he could beat anyone in his best division in his prime. TRUE, but thats not how they make names in boxing. You have to prove it inside the ring. like SRR, Ali, Armstrong etc etc.

Talent wise RJJ could be the most talented and gifted boxer ever. in his prime i wouldnt bet against him. Im pretty sure he can give a good fight against ATG's or even beat them but head to head match up is irrelevant when it comes to ATG's.

RJJ P4P ranked #3 at the worst. resume wise im not sure if he can crack the top 25. but i dont have a lists so dont ask. Talent wise i would put him in the top 5.

You are severely under-estimating some of the great names in our sport's history to be discussing Jones as, "talent-wise no worse than #3 all-time."

Jones very arguably was neither the most-skilled fighter of his time (Pernell Whitaker) or the most gifted (Ricardo Lopez). That's two who might very well rank above him in those categories just in his era alone!

A very gifted athlete, but his resume is missing too many names to be considered within the top 10 ranking

          ATG 80-100 region

He makes the is around 50-65 in my opinion for purely ATG ranking but, taking skills into account he can get moved up to about 40 or somethng.

can i ask you what names are those?

i mean its not like the divisions he campaigned in were very deep at the time he was in them. the top guys who where given a chance to beat him barely won a round. (hoptkins, toney, hill)

That was going to be my next question. Who did he need to beat to be a top 10 ATG?

                  Nigel Benn
                  Gerald McClellan
                  Julian Jackson
                  Darius M
                  Frankie Liles
                  Jirov
Any HW other than Ruiz: Byrd, Lewis
Should of fought Nunn and Tarver when they were his mandos

The steroid issue is also a big mark against him

I didn't even mention those two, but according to your logic he doesn't even have to fight the best guys in his division.
Do you have any idea how long Gerald was chasing him?
