    Question about PPV buys...

This one is really specific, but I was curious...

Mayweather-Mosley's 1.4M PPV buys is the most for a fight featuring two non-heavyweight African Americans.

    What is number 2?

I know Tyson-Holyfield did crazy numbers, but they were heavyweights.

It was a long time ago, but Leonard's fights with Hearns and Hagler were on PPV.

They were? Wow, I don't even remember that. I remember Leonard/Hearns 2 was on pay per view but I thought their first fight and Leonard/Hagler was on HBO. Isn't that why those fights were mentioned on the Legenday Nights series? I thought they talked about fights on that show that originally aired live on HBO.

Was the first Leonard-Hearns fight PPV or closed circuit, and is there a difference?

It was probably close circuited in some places, but I'm 100% sure I watched it at a friends house. Duran-Leonard I was the first fight that I clearly remember watching at home on PPV.

I remember going to Ice World in Totowa, New Jersey to watch this bout on Closed Circuit.

Yea I must say the Mosley / Mayweather numbers shocked me. Black guys ouside the heavyweight division don't do that well in sales.

Only if their names are Leonard and Hearns.
